Kate Rood is a senior at UAHS and a staff writer. She has been on staff since her junior year. Kate has worked as the Website Manager last year, alongside another manager. Throughout her time on staff, she has received an Ohio Scholastic Media Association award for an Excellent Alternative Copy. Kate loves writing stories that foster community engagement that can be shared in our community. 

Outside of Arlingtonian, she works a part time job at Sephora, where she can express her creativity through makeup. Additionally, she is the Co-President of the UAHS Environmental Club. Kate intends to continue her education, as a business student, in college next year.
