As a student athlete and energy drink fanatic, I found it appropriate to review the new Alani Nu, Celsius and Bloom energy drink flavors. As many Alani lovers may know, the cotton candy flavor is back for good and no longer just limited edition. The cotton candy Alani is, objectively, the best flavor and tastes like a sweet vanilla. If you like cotton candy grapes, this is the flavor for you. When I found out it was back, I immediately looked up where it was in stock, drove to Kroger and purchased all 10 that were remaining in stock (apologies if my greediness sickens you).
To preface, I found these mostly at Target, but I did have to go to different locations because a lot of these flavors were out of stock at various stores. Primarily, I tried the Lime Slush Alani. This one was released in mid February 2026 and is a limited edition flavor. It tastes very similar to a sprite with a little bit of a vanilla flavor.
Additionally, Alani Nu’s limited edition Cherry Bomb flavor was released in Jan. 2026 and was made to resemble cherry cola. In my opinion, it was very well executed. It almost tastes like a Cherry Dr. Pepper, but less carbonated. It is also super sweet, so I would rather opt for the Lime Slush, but both flavors were pretty tasty overall.
Celsius recently came out with Blue Razz Lemonade and Dragonfruit Lime flavors. They also released Peach Mango Green Tea, but that one was unavailable at every location I went to. As of about a year ago, Celsius Holdings Inc. completed its acquisition of the Alani Nu company, allowing Alani Nu to operate within Celsius as part of its brand portfolio. As far as differences go, since Celsius has taken over, there have been minimal packaging changes and I have not noticed any significant difference in the quality and taste of Alani products. Ultimately, I would say that Alani flavors taste sweeter and the brand is more targeted toward younger women and girls, while Celsius is more marketed toward professionals and adults as an efficient and healthy caffeinated beverage.
The Celsius Blue Razz flavor is fizz-free, meaning it has no carbonation. I usually prefer carbonated drinks more, but this one was really refreshing and tastes like blue lemonade. If you want a carbonated version of this drink, you should definitely try the Celsius Astro Vibe. My favorite Celsius of all time has to be the Fantasy Vibe, although it is not a new flavor. If you have not tried this one, definitely pick it up next time you are at the grocery store. It tastes sort of like a citrus vanilla marshmallow.
The Dragonfruit Lime Celsius really surprised me. I expected to like this one, but the flavor ended up being kind of bland and just tasted like a bunch of other flavors they already have. I feel like Celsius has so many flavors that they sometimes just blend together and nothing can make a certain flavor stand out. The Dragonfruit Lime was also fizz-free and kind of resembles a juice that tastes like non-carbonated Mountain Dew. I would definitely opt for the Blue Razz if you are looking for one of the new flavors to try.
Finally, I was able to find the Bloom Energy Strawberry Rose. They raised the price of this on Amazon because of its scarcity, but it was definitely worth it. This flavor was for Valentine’s Day and it tastes like a better version of their preexisting strawberry flavor. The packaging of this one was so cute and different from the packaging of their other drinks. I would say Bloom Energy is marketed as a healthier product and toward older consumers, but this one is an exception. I recommend this one highly, but it is pretty hard to find now. Bloom also just came out with a shirley temple flavor which I am dying to try but could not get my hands on.
I recommend the Lime Slush Alani Nu, Blue Razz Celsius and Strawberry Rose Bloom Energy drinks the most. These each provide a nice way to wake up and start off the day the right way.
