Olivia Fenstermacher is a junior at UAHS and is a staff writer for the Arlingtonian. She is in her first year of being a staff writer after taking Journalism I in her Freshman year and Journalism II in her Sophomore year. She has always wanted to pursue a career in the STEM field but Olivia heavily believes in spending time doing things that push you out of your comfort zone and make you think differently. She joined the Journalism program in Freshman year in an attempt to develop better writing skills and learn to enjoy writing more. She realized that the journalism department wasn’t just a place to improve writing skills but it was a place to learn to love writing. Now, her goal is for her stories to make people realize that writing doesn’t always have to be a chore.

Other than journalism, Olivia is a part of the vocal music department, specifically symphonic choir and Bel Canto. She also spends time in W3301 being a part of the Science Olympiad club. Outside of school, you can often find her spending time reading a new book or at Stauffs in German village studying with her friends.
