Varsity Boys Basketball defeated Linden McKinley in their season opener with a score of 60-19. Smith led the team with 16 points, Gregg followed with 14 and Henry added 13 to help secure the victory. The win marks a strong start to the Bears’ 2024-2025 season.

Abby Oliphant, Sports Manager
Abby Oliphant is a junior at UAHS and the Sports Manager for Arlingtonian. She has been an avid writer since elementary school and began student journalism during her sophomore year. Abby enjoys interviewing various athletes and sharing their stories as well as constantly staying updated on the sports teams at UAHS. This is her first year on staff and she is very excited. Outside of Arlingtonian, Abby is a swimmer of eleven years and a water polo player. She is also a class officer and participates in various student-run organizations including the Upper Arlington Speaker Series: Fostering a Conversation and the Letters for Rose Club.

Abbey Murphy, Photography Manager
Abbey Murphy is a senior at Upper Arlington, and the Photography Manager on staff of the Arlingtonian. She took photography freshman year, photographic technology her sophomore year, and photographic composition and photography production her junior year. This year, she’s taking and editing photos for the magazine. She has won two Scholastic Art and Writing regional photography awards. Although she doesn't write for the Arlingtonian, she has loved to write since she was young, and plans to major in English in college. In her free time, she likes to run, bake, shop, and find new coffee shops with her mom.
